"You must be ready to bear whatever people say without it affecting how you see yourself. This means you must be built on tough skin and make sure you don't allow marriage to be what validates you. You must learn to receive validation from yourself and be satisfied with where you are in life. Doing this will help you ward off the shame people throw at you just because you're not married," he said.
